Psych!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m not leaving after all. I might stay at Little Flower forever. We had some pretty interesting turn of events this past week and a lot of things are getting shaken up. I’ll be getting a new companion tomorrow. He is coming down from Albuquerque. 4 of the 6 Elders in Barrio 12 are leaving so it will be interesting how everything plays out.

Besides all the changes and stuff like that this week was pretty good. Uhhh, we got the brakes fixed on the car. We had a “break the fast” sonoran hot dog cook out after Church yesterday. It was all the Elders from the ward and 3 of my recent converts. It was way fun. Again, I did all the cooking and got grease burns all up my arms from the oil. Our district had a lot of fun this transfer so it will be weird having everyone get spread out.

We met the nicest Catholic ever! She gave us water, soda, granola bars, peaches and a huge papaya. This lady had like 4 life size Jesus and Virgin Mary statues in her house.

We had 3 1/2 at Church this week. I was way happy about that. Juanito is the 1/2. On Tuesday we took this crazy hippy kid to play basketball at the church and give him a tour. I don’t know if much will happen with him but I like him.

I’m pretty excited not to be packing tonight because I don’t really know where all my stuff is and at this point I don’t think it’s all going to fit in my suitcases.

I was thinking this week, like it says in the Book of Mormon, "Men are that they might have joy", and what it says in the Doctrine and Covenants about how great your joy will be when you bring people into the gospel. What should we be doing every day? Sharing the gospel. It’s a pretty amazing thing.

Love,

Elder Wiest
